Power of Bhagavad Gita
Bhagavad Gita is a sacred knowledge which is translated from Sanskrit as “The Song of God”. It was spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead to his disciple-friend Arguna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra 5000 years ago. It consists of 18 chapters, each one of 17 chapters contains the most important instructions of God to the humanity for the ages to come. The first chapter is a transition from the story of Mahabharata to the spiritual knowledge. The second chapter begins with explanations of the eternal, undestructable and divine qualities of a soul. Then, Lord Krishna proseeds with distinctions between a soul, material body and its mental activities in form of illusions and desires, concluding it with what kind of devotee is the most dear to Him — the one who achieved the Krishna Consciousness raising above the debris of delusions. The chapters from 3rd to 18th explain how to achieve the Krishna Consciousness through seeing the difference between the material and divine nature applying various practices spiritual practices. In the end, Krishna asked Arjuna to leave behind all of the religions to devote to Him entirely, deducating to Him all of his mental activities and material endeavors.
